The Book of Paul

Introducing the Book of Paul:

An Exemplary Embodiment of Paul’s Inspired Testimony

Do you love the Apostle Paul like I do?

He was called to be an Apostle.

He was set apart for the Gospel of God.

The Apostle Paul is the most influential person responsible for the spread of Christianity.

His calling as Apostle to the Gentiles was instrumental in shaping Christianity into a worldwide faith.

Well… I am excited to announce a book unlike any other.

One that comprises the testimony of Paul’s ministry and writings in a seamless, cohesive manuscript.

In my own study and meditation, I have longed for a fundamental resource for everyday reading and recitation that effectively brings Paul’s witness, including the deep revelation of his writings to the forefront of my awareness.

I am pleased to have developed the Book of Paul for our mutual benefit as a primary resource for daily edification and instruction.

You see, the Pauline epistles are a bit difficult as they are traditionally formatted for optimal comprehension, remembrance, and quotation as Scripture.

Some of the issues when reading the New Testament letters of Paul include:

(1) Paul’s writing style is complex, with long, complex sentences that have numerous embedded statements.

(2) A difficult-to-understand rhetorical style in which questions are often used to make a statement. Most modern readers are unfamiliar with ancient Greco-Roman rhetorical arguments.

(3) The widespread use of anaphora, which makes the reader have to keep track of the subject being referred to through numerous verses.

(4) Non-optimal verse and chapter divisions, which are not original to Paul’s writings.

Moreover, Paul’s epistles contain numerous situational elements and instructions which are of little relevance to the modern reader and detract from a focus on those universal truths that are at the core of our faith.

Situational elements, such as instructions or greetings to specific individuals, logistical details, and biographical information, are secondary to the central content of Paul’s letters.

The book of Paul resolves many of these issues as it is a reformatted exemplary embodiment of Paul’s inspired witness extracted from the book of Act and all 13 of Paul’s epistles packed into 40 chapters.

These 40 chapters are longer with minimal discontinuities as we see in New Testament books where Paul’s discourse on a particular topic often spans over multiple chapters.

The ultimate goal and motivation are to provide an impactful resource that will benefit your walk as a believer.

If you are not a believer, it will improve your understanding of Paul and the tenets of the faith he preached to the nations.

Here, like never before, I am offering you access to Paul’s inspired testimony in an exemplary scriptural format.

As my gift, you can receive this improved biblical arrangement of Paul’s letters and the testimony of Paul from the book of Acts, in a single manuscript with enhanced chapter and verse divisions.

I have been a believer in the Gospel of Jesus Christ since I was seven years old.  I am the founder of Integrity Syndicate which is focused on biblical research and publications like the Book of Paul aimed to promote 1st Century Apostolic Christianity, for the enrichment of the body of Christ.

We emphasize the simplicity of the primitive Christianity within the early decades of the Apostolic ministry.

Dr. Dustin Smith, co-editor to the Book of Paul is a Bible Scholar and professor with advanced proficiency in biblical Greek.

Dr. Dustin Smith and I are also editors of the AI Critical New Testament (AICNT), which is a transparent edition of the New Testament rendered with AI.

More than being a neutral and unbiased AI translation, The AICNT is a critical edition of the New Testament with extensive footnotes that documents thousands of textural variants of early manuscripts pertaining to first five centuries CE.

The Book of Paul relies on the neutral and transparent AICNT translation as the base text.

Translational bias is largely avoided by utilizing the neutral and transparent rendering of the text from Greek to English enabled by GPT-4 according to a robust protocol and methodology.

The Book of Paul aids in comprehension due to key innovations which build upon the AI translation by restructuring the text into a concise reformatted manuscript combining all the essential testimony of Paul in a single streamlined Book.

Moreover, the Book of Paul distills Paul’s statements in a format that lends itself to improved quotability as Scripture.

This is accomplished through a series of improvements.

First, optimal verse divisions are implemented.

As is the case with traditional verse divisions, some verses are extremely dense with multiple statements in which it would benefit the reader if separated into multiple smaller verses.

The Book of Paul presents each core idea or theological assertion as a distinct, self-contained sentence, allowing it to be more effectively quoted and utilized as Scripture.

This facilitates the clear transmission of Paul’s teachings and ensures that the profound truths he articulates can be fully appreciated and communicated in a distinct verse.

The reformatted, concise, stand-alone sentences, taken from longer complex sentences, can more easily be quoted and utilized as a discrete Scriptural asset.

For a verse to serve as a clear and impactful scriptural quote, it is also preferable that it is formatted in a way that avoids having to refer to previous verses to resolve pronouns and other ambiguities.

This is accomplished in The Book of Paul by substituting pronouns with the proper nouns or by adding contextual words from the previous verse so that referring to a previous verse is unnecessary.

Whenever a substitution occurs, the augmented text is indicated with italics.

By replacing pronouns with the proper nouns to which they refer, each verse conveys its intended message more clearly and independently, reducing the reliance on the surrounding text.

This enhances the usability of Paul’s teachings, allowing key ideas to be more easily quoted.

The book of Paul often omits conjunctions and transitional words, such as ‘And’ ‘But’ ‘For,’ and ‘Therefore.’

When verses begin with these conjunctions, it can detract from its ability to stand alone as independent scriptural quotes.

The formatting of the Book of Paul allows a discrete statement to be quoted independently of other statements by providing verse divisions without transitional words, which is fitting for an exemplary Scriptural format.

Perhaps you might be concerned about core Pauline content being taken out.

It is true that, in addition to conjunctions and transitional words, situational elements which have little relevance to a modern reader are omitted.

However, we have been careful not to omit anything that isn’t core to the message Paul is presenting.

If you might be concerned about material being added.

I can assure you that contains no material beyond with is substantiated by Paul’s letters.

Each verse in the Book of Paul is referenced to its corresponding New Testament Book, chapter, and verse that it depends on.

There are about 2500 cross-references as every verse in the Book of Paul is cross-referenced.

This makes it easy for the reader to look up a verse in the formatting and context of the New Testament book it references.

It is actually the case that there are about 100 more verses in the Book of Paul than in the corresponding New Testament epistles of Paul.

This is not because of added material, but because the Book of Paul sometimes separates verses into smaller divisions, for improved clarity and to distinguish discrete statements Paul made from what were originally long complex statements.

Additional information regarding the formatting methodology and structure of the Book of Paul is provided in the Preface.

As the apostle to the Gentiles, Paul taught us “the Way” of faithful and victorious Christian living.

Paul declared in Acts 24:14-16, “But I confess this to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of our ancestors, believing everything written in the Law and the Prophets, having hope in God, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. In this, I also strive to maintain a blameless conscience before God and men at all times.

To that aim, I trust the book of Paul will be a blessing in your understanding of Christian essentials and your walk with Christ.

I believe it will be helpful to you to have a resource that is focused on the testimony of Paul’s ministry as documented in Acts and his letters in a single, cohesive book.
