The AISV is a critical edition of the biblical texts of the Septuagint (LXX) and Greek New Testament, accompanied by more than 100,000 textual and translation notes documenting manuscript variation and differences involving the Hebrew Masoretic Text and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
The textual foundation
Every English verse is translated directly from the Greek text established for the edition—not from an intermediate English source.
The verified 1935 Rahlfs text is a starting point, not an unquestioned authority. Readings are checked against Rahlfs–Hanhart, Göttingen editions, early Greek manuscripts, the Masoretic Text, and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Full Septuagint canon · Greek versificationThe morphologically tagged SBL Greek New Testament supplies the starting text. Early manuscripts, the Byzantine tradition, the Textus Receptus, and candidate readings identified in the AICNT are then independently adjudicated.

“Agentic” describes how the work is organized, not which system performs it. Instead of one response to one instruction, each book advances through a single integrated pipeline: textual evidence, translation, alignment, annotation, challenge review, and fixed-rule validation. Every stage has a defined task, its own assigned evidence, and a gate it must clear before the next begins.
Compare editions and witnesses, adjudicate attestation, invite challenge, and apply the approved reading before English wording begins.
Render the locked Greek text into clear English and align each English segment to the Greek words it represents.
Write textual and translation notes, consult approved handbooks, and verify that every material issue has been covered.
Run fixed-rule checks, assign independent cross-model review, and repair failures or escalate unresolved disagreements.
Confirm that every claim has been read back by a reviewer that did not write it, that no validator is failing, and release the book.
Editorial controls
The Greek reading is established first. A preferred English rendering is never allowed to determine the underlying text.
Reviewers use systems that did not author the wording, and are instructed to argue against a decision rather than grade it.
Each stage works from the sources approved for its own question, not from whatever happens to be in context.
A lemma-based terminology store promotes consistency while preserving documented contextual exceptions.
Every evidence class has an admission rule, and a candidate must also pass an English-impact test before it earns a visible mark.
Structure, alignment, apparatus marks, identifiers, terminology, and file synchronization must pass fixed checks. A failure blocks the build.
More than 100,000 notes
Record meaningful manuscript differences and show how the printed reading relates to ancient Greek witnesses, Hebrew evidence, and later textual traditions.
Explain grammar, responsible alternatives, idioms, discourse, and historical or cultural information without dictating theology or application.
Connect English phrases to the Greek words they render, supporting close study and consistent terminology across both testaments.

Project status
The AISV is in active development. Its method, terminology controls, apparatus rules, and production pipeline are established while translation and review continue across the corpus.
No release date is being announced yet. Books are released one at a time, and only once the full sequence of stage gates, challenge reviews, and fixed-rule checks has passed on that book.
