Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36) Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) Anyone who does not abide in Christ is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. (John 15:6) Don’t be like the Pharisees and the lawyers who rejected the purpose of God for themselves. (Luke 7:30) Jesus said, “I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me.” (John 12:24-26) By this the Father is glorified, that we bear much fruit and so prove to be disciples of Christ. (John 15:8) If we keep the commandments of Christ, we will abide in his love, just as Jesus followed the Father’s commandments and abide in the Father’s love. (John 15:10)

The seed of the word of God is sown in our lives and in the lives of others. (Luke 8:11) Some fall along the path, some on the rocks, some among the thorns, and some in good soil. (Luke 8:12-15) Let not the devil come and take away the word from your hearts, preventing you from believing and being saved. (Luke 8:12) Be not one of those who believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. (Luke 8:13) And let not the seed of the word be met with thorns as one who hears and believes but this faith is eventually choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and thus no fruit is brought to maturity. (Luke 8:14) But maintain yourself like good soil so that in hearing the word of God you hold fast to it in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience. (Luke 8:15) Jesus said, “A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. (Mat 7:18-19) John the Baptist also preached the same saying, “Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees: Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” (Luke 3:9) We must bear fruit in keeping with repentance. (Luke 3:8)

Be imitators of God as beloved children. (Eph 5:1) Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God. (Eph 5:2) Immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not be associated with us as is proper for holy ones. (Eph 5:3) Surely everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous, has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. (Eph 5:5) Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. (Eph 5:6) At one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true) and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. (Eph 5:8-10) Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them. (Eph 5:11) May we be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. 35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
29 (When all the people heard this, and the tax collectors too, they declared God just, having been baptized with the baptism of John, 30 but the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.)
23 And Jesus answered them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25 Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 13 And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. 14 And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. 15 As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.
8 Bear fruits in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham. 9 Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3 But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. 4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. 5 For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not become partners with them; 8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.

10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

We must maintain obedience to the words of Christ and his apostles, working out our own salvation with fear and trembling. (Phil 2:12) Through obedience God works in us, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. (Phil 2:13) We must do all things without grumbling or disputing, that we may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom we shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life. (Phil 2:14-16) We must no longer walk as the worldly do, in the futility of their minds. (Eph 4:17) They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. (Eph 4:18) They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. (Eph 14:19) Rather, if we are true believers, we have learned Christ – to put off our old self, which belongs to our former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of our minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. (Eph 4:20-24)
Prepare your minds for action, and be sober-minded, setting your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (1Pet 1:13) As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” (1Pet 1:14-16) If you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout your time in this age, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. (1Pet 1:17-19) Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God. (1Pet 1:22-23)
Since Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live no longer for human passions but for the will of God. (1Pet 4:1-2) For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. (1Pet 4:3) Do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. (1Pet 4:12) But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. (1Pet 4:13) If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. (1Pet 4:14) If anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. (1Pet 4:16) Let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good. (1 Pet 4:19) Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (1Pet 5:6-7) Be sober-minded; be watchful – Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1Pet 5:8) Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. (1Pet 5:9) And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. (1Pet 5:10)
God’s divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. (2Pet 1:3-4) For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. (2Pet 1:5-7) For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2Pet 1:8) Whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. (2Pet 1:9) Therefore be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for you will never fail if you practice these qualities. (2Pet 1:10) This is the way that we will be provided an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2Pet 1:11)
The day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. (2Pet 3:10) Since all these things are to be dissolved, we ought to live lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved. (2Pet 3:11-12) But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. (2Pet 3:13) Beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. (2Pet 3:14)
God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. (Heb 6:10) Maintain the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Heb 6:11-12) Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. (Heb 10:23) Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works encouraging one another as we see the Day drawing near. (Heb 10:24-25) Do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. (Heb 12:5) For the Lord disciplines the one he loves and chastises every son whom he receives. (Heb 12:6) If you are left without discipline, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. (Heb 12:8) In the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. (Heb 12:11) Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. Be warned, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Gal 5:19-21) Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Eph 6:16-17) Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication keeping alert with all perseverance. (Eph 6:18) Those who cause divisions are worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. (Jude 1:19) But we are to build ourselves up in our faith and pray in the Holy Spirit, keeping ourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
